Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary
Begin your day mastering Bhutan’s national sport, archery, with some of the kingdom’s most skilled archers. This session not only introduces you to a revered cultural tradition but also sharpens your focus and precision—qualities essential to both archery and effective leadership. After honing your skills, go on a challenging climb to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, known as Tiger’s Nest. Perched on the edge of a cliff, this hike is a journey to one of Bhutan’s most sacred sites, offering breathtaking views and a profound sense of accomplishment once you reach the top.
Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary
We will take a scenic flight to Bumthang, offering a rare view of the towering Himalayan ranges, including the majestic Gangkhar Puensum, the highest peak in the world that hasn’t been climbed by men. Upon landing, we visit the historic Jambay Lhakhang, a temple famed for pinning down the leg of a giant demoness according to local legend. We will have a special guided tour by a resident monk who will share insights into the temple’s mystical stories and rich history. Next, continue to the revered Kurjey Lhakhang complex, where you can participate in a private meditation session in its ancient halls, deepening your connection to this sacred place.
Wangdicholing Resort
Start your day heading towards Ura village, making a stop at Membartsho, also known as the “Burning Lake.” This site is famous for the discovery of religious treasures by the saint Pema Lingpa. Next, visit a local nunnery where you’ll learn about the daily routines and spiritual practices of Buddhist nuns.
After the nunnery, drive up to Shertong-la pass, where you might see Gangkhar Puensum, Bhutan’s highest mountain, on a clear day. Then, descend to Ura village on the fringe of Thrumshing-la National Park. In the afternoon, join wildlife experts in the park for a chance to spot red pandas and clouded leopards. While sightings of these animals are rare, the search through Bhutan’s natural forests is an adventure in itself, offering a closer look at the country’s diverse wildlife.
Village Stay
Kick off the day with a sunrise hike in Thrumshing-la National Park, journeying over the ridges above Ura village. This 5-6 hour trek to Gayzamchu offers potential wildlife sightings, particularly of the elusive Red Panda. As you ascend, enjoy the changing landscapes and vibrant ecosystems that define this region.
After your hike, head to the Thrumshing-la pass, the second-highest drivable pass in Bhutan, where you can take in expansive views and breathe in the fresh mountain air. In the afternoon, visit a local sanctuary for a traditional Bhutanese medical treatment. Here, you will meet with expert traditional medicine practitioners for a private consultation. They will develop a personalized wellness program aimed at balancing your body, mind, and spirit, enhancing your overall health and ensuring you gain lasting health benefits from your journey in Bhutan.
Village Stay
Travel down through the lush Mangdechu River Valley, witnessing the impressive hydroelectric dams that dot the landscape. As you enter the Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park, keep your eyes peeled for the vibrant rufous-necked hornbills and the elusive golden langurs, a rare sight in the wild. Continue your journey through the scenic Tingtibi and head towards Manas, situated along the border with India.
Arrive at Manas and settle into your eco-lodge. Here, you’ll engage directly with the local community for an authentic cultural experience. Join the locals in traditional Kheng dances and sing songs with them around a bonfire.
Pangbang Jungle Camp
Start your morning with a river rafting safari on the Manas River, focused on spotting diverse wildlife along the banks. After rafting, take a guided walking safari in Manas National Park, home to endangered species like the one-horned rhino and elusive tiger. Learn about local conservation efforts from one of the best experts for tigers in the world. Manas National Park is the habitat of many animals, including Assam roofed turtle, hispid hare, golden langur, pygmy hog, wild elephant, one-horned rhino, tiger, wild water buffalo and others. Anyhow, be humble in your expectations.
Continue the adventure by crossing into the Indian side of Manas Park, enhancing your understanding of cross-border wildlife management. After exploring, return to Bhutan and drive to Tingtibi village for an overnight stay.

Start your day with an early morning flight back to Paro. Upon arrival, the journey continues with a drive to Thimphu. Visit Tashicho Dzong, an impressive fortress that houses the Bhutanese government and royal offices. Here, you’ll have the unique opportunity to meet with government officials and gain insights into the operations of one of the world’s most intriguing administrations.
Visit the Buddha Dordenma, a gigantic Buddha statue that dominates the valley, offering expansive views and a serene atmosphere. Follow this with a walk through Norzin Lam Street, observing the unique aspect of Thimphu being the world’s only capital without traffic lights. Conclude your day at the local handicraft market, a perfect place to find authentic Bhutanese souvenirs and hang out with local artisans.
